how long did it take you to find 5.5 6spd
im an old 4th genner, got about 190k, im not 100% sure i want to stick with a max, but i want to test drive 5.5gen 6 speed before i make a decision on another car. not really a fan of how big the 6th gen is. been looking for like a moth, havnt seen 1 6spd on autotrader yet in so cal. how long did it take u guys to find yours.
I had no problem finding 5spd 5.5 Max's.
It did take me a while to find the black on black GLE that I wanted though.
There are quite a few manual SE's, but next ot no GLE's (In my area at least).

I picked mine up from here actually...it was 4x4 status and bone stock. I was keeping an eye on it for a few months while I was looking around for something closer. My car was in PA and im in NY. I ended up getting it after a few months

It took me about 2 months...found one on nycmaximas.org. Only had 14,500 miles when I bought it.
2003 Polished Titanium 6speed with HLSD and all other options except navi.
OH YEAH...stillen front lip / rear valence already installed.
took me a while to fina a clean maxima period, everything in NY was beat up and over priced, I found mine the first day the guy posted it on cars.com and then after I told him I'll take it he paid it off and then I had to wait about a month for the bank papers and title to clear and whatever......over it was about a 2-3 month search for one that was up to my standards fully loaded, good price, and clean......and looking for manual made it so much harder
found mine at carmax... i hate carmax..they're almost always overpriced but they had this one sitting in between 2 97 4th gen gxe's...and it was sorta filthy ( i thought carmax cleaned their cars better.) but in great condish... so i bought it. about 12grand plus TTTL... so about 12,800
lucky find. the guy said 4 individuals were interested but decided not to go with a manual cuz the nasty houston traffic.. and folks looking for this size sedan usually want an automatic. so the car sat for months in the lot (MONTHS!) thats very surprising to me...and thats why they ended up lowering the price from 13 to 12

few months......found a couple on autotrader.com and at a couple dealerships but they were all prett beaten up. Then I found a private sale, sterling mist 03 SE 6 spd TE. The owner was really **** about maintaining it (had all paper work) and just about perfect shape......pretty much no brainer on that one. Test drove it and called him an hour later and he accepted my offer.
i found mine 6 miles away as soon as i determined a 02 max 6spd is what i wanted. ONE of THREE in texas and the only one within 300 miles, bought it a day before a guy was gonna come look at it from neighboring city. $10,800.
Too bad its in the shop...

I looked for about 3 weeks and found the car I have now at a Toyota dealership, they gave me a reasonable amount for my quite modded 2000 S10 V6/5spd so I agreed to the deal immediately.
They are really hard to find around here. I've seen 3 for sale in the last 4 years, and I wasn't in the market at the time. Then I started thinking about upgrading to a newer vehicle, and on my way home from work I saw one at a used dealership. Figured it was auto, but I wanna test drive it to see what I'm looking at. When I looked through the window and saw the stick, I started drooling on the window. Bought it about a week later after all the papers and stuff went though. '02, 6 speed, black leather, and every option except for Navigation as far as I know. Very happy with it, I've been wanting one since back in 2000 when I was 14!!

i saw mine in an ad online...called the dealership and told them to start working on the paperwork that i will be right there
I had been looking since August, but only a handful popped up here in the Cincinnati region. I started looking out of state.
The few that I looked at were beat up and not taken care of, but found a decent one this past week and bought it.
It's an '02 SE, Merlot with black leather and just about every option besides navigation. I was thrilled to find a 6-speed. Just picked it up yesterday...this is my first Maxima.

No, it didn't take me a week... It took the bank a week to make up their damn mind about the loan, and get it all done... The dealer had a downpayment that some afternoon, but it wasn't mine until almost a week later, six days including the weekend where the bank wasn't working...
It took me 2 weeks after totaling my 00. I found 2 the one I wanted was loaded with the dark charchole color but sold 30 min before I got there. It had 15k less miles than mine and they were also asking 2g's more. Next day I settled for my loaded sterling mist with more miles and more money and had to drive 80 miles further. ( Both were identically loaded without nav just different colors)
I was pissed the first deal didn't happen but as soon as I drove my car after having my 00 I was sold and bargening started.

Search Criteria: 2002-2003, Black or Silver, 6MT, Leather, Sunroof
Took me 4 months to find one with low miles and a decent prices, spent the whole day at the dealership negotiating, had the car after a week (hardest week of my life) as they fixed the center console and brakes.

I had 2 sorry Nissan dealers and a Volvo dealer and they all claimed no luck after 6 months. I was searching Craigslist, Carmax, Ebay and various local car magazines. Finally found 2 six speeds one blk on blk the other silver on silver after 22 months on cars.com. The blk on blk was beat up and had more miles than the ad said, got the silver one and its been good.
6-Speeds are not very hard to find. I found at least 15, under 50K miles. It took me 4 months cause I wanted a silver TE. I found 4 and the one I bought was 250 miles away. I found a Merlot in Seattle with 39K for $12,900. One owner TE. I was willing to drive out there, but it was sold within a week.
Took me 3 and 1/2 months to find my 2002 SE 6spd. I got really REALLY lucky. Guy lived an hour away from my home. He had owned it since 650 miles. I bought it when it had 51k miles, for 13k flat, now has 68k miles. He had all the service records from the original Nissan dealership where he purchased it since he owned it. He took perfect care of her. He told me that the first owner traded it in for a new 350Z lol. Don't give up hope man, I was ready to go crazy but it just POOF showed up on Autotrader one weekend. Good luck.
