Blower fan switch, one level only

Alright so I know this has already been talked about before but i can't find the thread ANYWHERE and i looked for 2 hours. 2002 Maxima SE manual climate control. I turn the switch to level one nothing happens, level two full blast, level three does nothing, and level four full blast again. I took the assembly apart and I see that the switch looks like it has a tiny melted part next to one of the wire contacts in the harness connection. I am trying to figure out if its the switch, or the resistor pack on the blower, any ideas???? Also, where can i get just the switch assembly itself or resistor pack? I know everyone hates re posts but this is my last resort!!

replace the switch
if it still doesn't work, check the resistor

Although the issue is commonly fixed with the resistor pack on the motor, if you found a melted part on your switch that could just as likely be the culprit. I'd change the switch first, then go for the resistor pack. The switch may have to be a junkyard or part for sale here on the forum, as they will be included with a new climate control and therefore pricey. The resistor pack is a common part and Dave B can set you up with one.

Or, search for the part #'s and procedures.
