what does this plug go to?

i was looking at my car today, i found a 3- wired plug under the hood above the power steering pump, i was just wondering if it actually went to anything, i can't find another plug that is empty.

here is a picture of it.

Maybe it's the butt plug ???? J/K And you are totally sure there is no other loose end that looks like it may connect right up to it?

the plug was resting on the heat shield on top of the rear exhaust manifold, thats why it looks melted... the wires are ok.... i mean everythign works on the car, even the windshield washer sensor thing. i know there are sometimes extra plugs, but i was just wondering if it was supposed to be loose or plugged in.
