Y-Pipe
Y-Pipe
before anyone gets angry, yes I did read up on the past Y-pipe posts, so here goes.
Would like to mod my car slightly, but in case I love the 2k2 6 spd, I do not want to get crazy. I currently have the K&N drop in, Synthetic motor oil, and redline gear oil(Y2KevSE thanks for the instructions). Should my next step be the Y-pipe, and if so, should I go with the Stillen pipe? I am interested in quality and I am interested in pulling my parts if I trade in, hell I even saved my old air filter, if I trade in on a 2k2 6 spd, I'm pulling my K&N and dropping the dirty filter back in.

The Y-Pipe is the best MOD for the money outside a supercharger in my opinion. Depending on your local weather you may want to go with either the stainless steel Cattman Y-Pipe or the ceramic coated Stillen Y-Pipe. Both pipes will run about $350 - $400. The Cattman will hold up to harsh winters in northern regions b/c of it S/S design. I have the Stillen and it works for me in FL since I don't have to worry about snow or road salts. Hope this helps.
