Nice but I think I'd just go with a Transgo Shift Kit in my slush box.

Good luck getting a hold of them. Maximum tuning will get back to you ASAP.

Well, my local distributors were crap, so I decided to go w/ Maximum tuning. Maybe yours are better.

Very nice, bet it feels like an entirely different car now? I know riding in my buddies 03 auto and then getting into my car is a drastically different experience/feel. How much did the swap cost if you don't mind me asking?

The car feels great, Im still breaking in the clutch but so far the few times I did punch it, it feels great. Right now Im running the auto ECU until I can get the guy who reprograms the manual ECU to do his thing. This is also an HLSD tranny. Only problem I have is that Im still using the auto motor mounts, theyre way too soft for a manual tranny. I'm also dealing with a bad axle that causes the car to shake under moderate acceleration, Marty at Raxles should be sending a new one out soon enough though. to Marty at Raxles, really good guy to deal with!

Since it's still running the auto ECU, the gear selector is set to neutral so the car will start, park would have worked also.

No rebuild, has 40-50k miles on it. No crunch at all. The lettering is actually white on the HU and climate control, poor white balance FTL.

Nice swap, nice to know something like this is do-able. How much did it run you?

I'm also curious as to how you changed the writing on your bose/climate control? Can any good/reputable audio/video shop do that for me? Green FTL!

Thanks Nmex, but I don't think that thread tells me how to change the color of the writing on the display...or if it did I missed it. However the LED cluster/button lights is something else I'd be doing, but after looking at that thread it's definately not something within my skill level to do. So is there any type of shop that'll do that for me?

Buy different color of LED’s with respect to what color you want. PM me for more details, this thread needs more information on the subject at hand.

mine goes in march during spring break.

5 sp for me.

I'm probably gonna get a manual ECU but I want to find someone who will move the rev limiter back and reprogram my timing advance back in.

But very nice job on the swap

Total time was 3 days. Parts cost was around $2500 which included:
-HLSD tranny
-Starter
-Master cylinder
-Slave cylinder
-Shift cables
-6speed ECU
-Shifter assembly
-Clutch pedal assembly
-Tranny mount
-Flywheel
-Clutch
-Flywheel bolts
-Redline goods shift boot
-Raxle axles
I think I might be missing a part or two on that list. I'll update if I catch anything I missed.

You should get the manual ECU otherwise the car will throw a bunch of codes and flash the tranny light at you everytime you start the car. As I said, I have the manual ECU, Im just waiting for the keys to be reprogrammed so I can use it.

Well the only thing is that you are going to have the CEL>. but it doesn't effect performance at all... and remember to hook up the P/N switch as well.

plus he has a 2000, seriously different from a 5.5 gen in terms of ECU feedback (read: partial CAN on the auto)

If you're referring to the OP, I beg to differ. The 4AT shift console is nothing like that on 00-01's.
