DIY Exterior Mod

Okay, so check this out.
http://www.srtforums.com/forums/f75/how-another-home-depot-lip-379671/

I know the mere thought of using weather stripping to create a lip seems blasphemous, but it kinda works (at least in this instance)

I wonder how that'd look on a 5th Gen.

It's sorta like a low key splitter. Also, the way I see it, it'll protect your real lip. If this piece of rubber gets screwed up, tear it off.

So yea... what do you think?

Not bad at all, really subtle change. Can't beat the price either.

I don't think that this would look to good on a Maxima, it looks good on the SRT-4 but those cars also have a more vertical flat front bumper...

Don't like it...

Mach 1 like sooner and Irish have, or an actual lip (Stillen Aero FTW).

This was already done on a 4th Gen. Quite a few guys over in the 4th gen section actually did this. As with all things, got some good reviews and some bad but all in all to each his own.

Looks good on an SRT-4, but it doesn't belong on a maxima.

Won't work, I tried this like 2 years ago. Well, it will work but won't look right because the bottom of our bumpers aren't flat but have a curve. BTW, it was a WRX mod first.

^on my friend's sentra.

On my car but you might have to turn up the contrast or make the screen brighter to see it.

I also tried this a couple years back (before figuring out the mach1 lip), and it didn't look good at all because of the curved bottom of the bumper on our cars...

If my driveway didn't have a high angle from the street to the driveway I would have done it, but as of now it would rub every time I enter and exit the driveway.

YOU WANT TO YELL ON THE INTERNET, USE CAPS LOCK.
If you want to talk normally, don't.

Good luck finding AE lip kit parts, never mind ones that will fit an 02 bumper. Swapping an 01 bumper onto an 02 is going backwards IMO.
