Those with Tan Interior

I have a question about something that has been buggin me. About a year or so ago, I started noticing what looked like rust colored spots in my carpet and my mats. At first I though someone had spilled coke in my car. It looks kinda spotty. My wifes accord has similiar stains in the carpet and on the door. Her interior is tan also. Anyone have an idea of what this is and what causes it? Any ideas on how to get rid of it?

Anyone eat chocolate in the car? Small pieces break off and melt.

sounds like a food or liquid issue. thats the only think i can think of. armor all upholstry cleaner from autozone or orilleys does the trick. i wasted an orange slush in the passenger seat cuz the stupid girl at sonic didnt put the lid on correctly but the stuff came out 3 weeks later when i bought the stuff

i dunno what that is, but i have a tan interior with no spotting. I do however swap out my front floormats with heavy duty rubber ones before every snow to keep em clean in the dirty season. So maybe that's helped em last longer. '01 btw...

mix oxy-clean and laundry soap with warm water in bucket and scrub spot with soft brush. then go over wet spot with dry towel and shop-vac to remove any water in carpet Just dont go crazy with to much soap and oxy-clean mixture

it is the rust coming threw the bolts from the seat track on my car but if it is all around the carpet on your car it could be that water got in between the carpet and the floor pan
