Swapping 02 OEM seats into an 01

A gentleman has 02 seats with Power/SRS/heat for sale. Its from an 02 Maxima. Color code matches and everything. Yes they are cloth, but I have my first born on the way and a leather redo just isnt fiscally feasible.

I have an 01 that has Power/SRS/heat. They are cracked nasty leather. Nissan vinyl. I am the only owner and clean and conditioned them and they still ended up this way.

In regards to the SRS/Power/Heater connections:
  • Has anybody done this?
  • Has Nissan changed the connectors?
  • Can anybody shed light on this before I waste the sellers time?
In theory this should be a plug and play swap, but I am trying to get my duck in a row.

Thanks!

Ask him to take pics of the plugs for all the connections. Can't imagine Nissan would change any of that for the same generation vehicle though.

They're swappable. I swapped 2k2 seats in my 2k and it works perfect, simple plug and play. My power works, but I don't have heated seats so I can't say for that. Either way, you can splice that if they aren't the same.

I did this also and the passenger seat was plug and play, the drivers wasnt. I was always under the assumption it was the memory function that was different on the drivers side, that could very easily be wrong though.

I had Nissan switch the driver side plugs so it would fit, i think it was like 18 dollars, you could splice it yourself but there are a lot of wires and they have very limited space so the work isnt hard, just time comsuming.

Anybody got the 2K2 wiring diagram for this area? I am not timid about wiring just need the info. Quite honestly based on the pics he gave, it looks like they just tacked a 4 pin "extra" onto the outside of the existing plug.
