Stillen headers

I may have made the mistake of buying Stillen headers before reading the headers thread. Am I screwed or what? Are Cattman/Hotshot headers that much superior and should I bother tossing my current Stillen product or is the difference minimal...

Never seen back to back dynos, but the design is clearly better on the HS/Cattman. A new set of HotShots just went on sale in the Classifieds on here.

I would personally go with the other 2 brands. I've seen some dynos for those headers go about 228 or so, if that's a gaol for you, then you should be fine, but again, they're shiny stock manifolds, essentially.

I, personally, would have pretty much done the same had I read that thread AFTER the purchase.

Cancel the order, and give Brian Catts a call, that's what I would do.

They're already on the vehicle. I would have to start from scratch. Not too thrilled about the R&R time Not to mention that Stillen wanted a **** load of money for the new headers. **ck, I wish I was a member of the org when I bought them.

Yes, might as well dyno if they are already on. Do yourself a favor and donate $20 to be able to fully search the org. It will more than pay for iteslf.

Well since this thread seems to be going downhill i thought id throw in an OT question. Does anybody have any knowledge of the stillen headers for a g35? I browsed around g35driver and saw stillens claimed "gains" from a google search but was wanting more info. The reason i ask is my friends dad has the stillen headers on his 03 G and i was just wondering if they actually do anything.

I've never seen a dyno and can't even remember anyone even running stillen headers on the G35 or 350z. Go to my350z.com or g35driver.com. Tons of info there.

Studman has these on his car years ago and dyno tuned with poor results. He ended up buying hotshots and had great results like everyone else on here. I actually bought my headers from him used (hotshot) and he had the stillen ones sitting in his garage so I was able to comares each of them side by side. The hotshots and cattman are equal length which allow each cylinder to expel exhaust evenly. I would put the stillens up on ebay and get cattman or hothots. My $.02

I've heard nothing but bad things about the Stillen headers, there was one guy who had them on his car I think his name on here is like midnight or something...he has ran 13's with them on the car I believe...I would take them off and like said above sell them on ebay and buy some used Cattman or Hotshot's....some guy a few days ago had a set of brand new Hotshot's for only $350 I think.
