Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to drop a message to say 'hi' to each of you. I have been reading this message board for a while now and have occassionally wanted to provide my input. Now I can!

I am a serious car enthusiast living in the burbs of Chicago. My current ride is a 2000 Maxima SE with a 5-speed and every option (sterling mist with black leather). I have no mods on this car currently as my lease will be up in 10 months now. This is my 3rd Maxima SE (previous ones were '97 and '94...both with 5-speeds). I also just sold my second car which was a '95 Supra TT with a six speed, HKS intake and HKS superdragger exhaust. That was an amazingly fast and fun car!

I look forward to getting to know some of you in the future.

Take care!

Rob...

You sold your Supra?!?!?

Feel free to post more often. We would appreciate your input/opinion.

Yeah, I sold it because the initial fun had worn off. I owned it for over 3 years, put 12K miles on it (weekend car only) and never had any problems at all. I was able to sell it for just a few hundred dollars less than I paid for it. I figured I would get rid of it before my luck ran out. In the end, it was the least expensive car I have ever owned!!

Here it is... I do miss it.

Your profile says you're past 30, so I assumed as much. I was hoping we could be a positive influence on our teenage members who, if they don't stop street racing, may never see 30.

I have never read any of the profiles so I wasn't aware of how it listed age. So yes, over 30...32 to be exact.

I have been dealing with many of the same dilemas about my next car that everyone here has been talking about. Trying to decide if I want another Maxima (that would be #4) or if I should wait for the 2004 (due out in Jan of 2003 from my understanding). I was considering the Infiniti G35 with a 6 speed, but then got that note from them in the mail about it having 255hp. That was disappointing. I like the S4 but am reluctant due to maintainance and repair. I am at a lose...

Thanks for listening to me. And thanks for the warm welcome.

Seems like you'll fit in just fine here. Don't mind Magellan and his Public Service Announcements. They pop every once and a while. Happy Modding!!

Magellan that's just mean calling someone who is 28 a teenybopper. I would imagine all of the people on this board, no matter the maturity level or lack there of, have an understanding of the consequences of street racing, going over the speed limit, and other random lawlessness. And while it is good to have someone of your distinct maturity level chiming in and warning us, we all say thanks by the way, I think the point has been re-hashed enough. Have a great weekend.

Nice Supra! I've been lurking arounf the Supra forums hoping to see if I can ****** one up at a good price. I can't believe you sold it. I guess you had your reasons though. The specs on the G35 is somewhat disappointing. From 280 to 255 Hp is a big drop off. We'll see how it turns out though. Welcome to the board
