Dont forget to check this

Check the tire pressure in your SPARE TIRE,I checked mine and it was flate.How pissed would you be if you get a flate tire and you go to put on your spare and its flate too.btw to tire pressure should be 60psi.

The spare is a fairly strong sidewall. For a short trip I would use it flat if needed before driving on my dd tires.

Just make sure you torque it goodintight...

Just make sure you use a calibrated elbow for that!

How pissed? If you ask my son, TOTALLY. He recently experienced a blowout on the car he drives 2 days after I first told him he had a low tire. Apparently he paid attention when I showed him how to use the jack and change a tire so I had pity on him and only had him pay for one of the new tires I had to buy.

"every time you rotate your tires you check the spare for air. I'm a girl and I knew that"

I don't check my spare tire ever, because it sits in a dark corner of my garage with the jack and tire iron. I will pay the price for this 30lb weight reduction one day I'm sure.
