Anyone having SES probs with y-pipe?

Got an 5.0 gen. Recently I've replaced all 3 O2's and my light was still on and continued to fail emission testing. My mechanic then threw on a Nissan Cat and light went off and I passed e-testing. Now the hideous light is back. I'm thinking its nothing serious because the car is still running great. I have an untuned SAFC-II installed right now. I'm wondering if that could be the cause?

I plan on taking it off anyways since a Greddy EU and WBO2 will be going in shortly with a new motor.

Anyone have similar symptoms with a 5.0? I'm wondering if I need an O2 sim like the 5.5 guys use. Both mech's Ive seen said its a result of the Cat and elmination of the pre-cats since its an emission cat code (forgot what it was).

A bad thermostat will also throw a code with no symptoms.

Reopened.

P0430.

Makes sense since both precats are removed with the y-pipe. I assume the fact that he has three O2s means it is Fed spec.
