Megan on left, Frankencar on right

Frankencar is the dirty one

Haha nice. How's the bad boy sound? Pics of it installed? Looks like it might stick out a bit...

I just bought the megan catback but have not installed it.
It seems no one likes it...why?

I like it.

Fine, I'll admit to it. The one pictured is mine; I got it used, but the welds and tips looked good, it fits perfectly, and it sounds good, ie. to me, just like the Cattman rear.

It is essentially a Cattman knockoff. I've had the GReddy, Cattman, Frankencar, and now Megan, all on this car.

Anyone got a HKS they want me to try?

And NO people, my Frankencar is not for sale, so don't even bother asking.

Wow, it looks a lot more dangerously perched in that picture than it did in person.

Hence the reason I settled for HKS.

Only reason I got the Megan is because I couldn't find a HKS for less than like 400 bucks. Now, of course, after the Megan is on my car, someone is selling a HKS in the Classifieds brand new for $300.

So I have the hks tail piece on my other car...I wonder if I will like this better than the megan once i have the catman headers installed

Yes it does....I think mainly because it's close to the wall.

With headers, the Cattman, Megan, and HKS all sound the same, IMO. Only reason I wanted the HKS is I liked the way those tips looked better.

Not really. Find me a Greddy SP/SP2 cat-back for a 5th Gen, and that'll complete things. The only two people I knew with those were Ice2k1 and Ammi.

I liked it.... but the tips got bent pretty bad during a tow so i convinced them to pay for a new muffler. I went w/ the Magnaflow Street Series #14816. Sexiest tips IMO and the mufflers a lot smaller than the megan. The only thing i didnt like about the megan was that the huge muffler sat at an angle rather than parallel w/ the ground, not a big deal but something i noticed.

Blah, those tips burnt my bumper!!! I guess because the I35 rear is longer and the tips were tucked in. That plus a 13 hour straight drive = bumper burnt. Cost me $100 to get those bishes lengthended (NJ labor price...I got ripped I know)

The Frankencar muffler is one heavy bisch and very restrictive, but it does keep the sound level down quite a bit.

If you do a google search you will notice that their customer service sucks. Also, you need to read their policy.

I bought mine from wesellcarparts.com and they were great. They have theirs listed for $380 shipped but I ordered it with no problems and I got it pretty quick.
