Shift Pad Removal

I'm trying to remove the shifter pad in my 2003 Max and I'm having one heck of a time screwing up. Does any one have instructions or a link to some that might help me out?

Also, I am doing this because my lights beneath it are not working. Any suggestions about this too?

1. Unscrew the shift ****
2. Open up the coil tray next to the hazard lights button
3. pull out the tray
4. unscrew the 1 screw there
5. pull up from the side closest to the rear of the car of the shifter panel.

I believe there is a bolt in the center console (arm rest).

One at the Shifter
One under the coin Tray
One under the "carpet" in the center console (arm rest)
One on Either side of the Center Console (Usually you get from back seat)

Bingo... I'll try that in a few and see what I get.

Now, has anyone else had this problem with their shifter pad lighting?
