scrapping in a turn

Gents,
RE: 2001 SE AE. 95K on the clock
Whn making left hand turns I'm noticing a pulsating metalic scrapping noise from the wheel well. Any ideas?

Thanks

Also check the dust shield. That is what happened when I replaced my brake rotors and pads. It was scraping the bottom of the shield.

Yes, check the dust shields first.

I also see this problem right after I dropped my car and steering was out of alignment. After the alignment, it is all good.

Hope I'm helping.

Well I ran over a curb myself a couple of weeks ago... Being my lower control arm and strut assembly to cause your same problem. I fixed it though thank god

Also just while your car is parked in case it is plastic, just turn your wheel all the way in the direction to where you hear the noise and feel around your tire for places it could possibly be rubbing

This noise can also be caused by a bad bearing. I would start with the other (brake related) cases first.

there is a stopper on your knuckle (behind the rotor) It looks like a bolt that has a plastic cap on it (sometimes that plastic falls off) When you turn all the way it touches the control arm. Get some bearing grease every oil change and put it on that. This noise will come when turning all the way to lock
If it does it when turning just a little (not full lock) check your brakes and also pull your dust shield from behind the rotor away with a small screwdriver prybar or hand so it wont touch the rotor
