power seat not working?

power seat not working?

I can get my seat to tilt back and forth but cant get it to go front/back and up/down..any way to narrow down problem? also every once in a great while it works but then shortly after it stops??thanks in advance

Sounds like a wiring problem to me. Make sure the connections are tight first.

There's a TSB out on this, don't know if it's old or not but I was at the dealer yesterday checking it out, the tsb needs to be referenced for your parts guy to get the # for just the motor.

I checked tsb online and it is from 04, called service dept. and said no current ones or recalls. I guess Il have to take a look at it when i get a chance

Mine stopped moving front/back. The problem turned out to be the rubber bumper that tells the motor the seat is all the way back (for the auto setting when the car is turned off). The rubber bumper over time got chewed up by the motor.



I bought a revised motor through this TSB:

Changed it myself in a few hours.

I have this same problem I just bang on it and it starts working again.
