OBD-II scan files

I checked out the files....
camshaft position sensor circuit
but, I also checked other things like the spark advance, O2 sensor output, etc... Your O2 sensors look like they work fine. Since you have a y-pipe, the two downstream O2 sensors read the almost the exact same, as they should. You only took it up to a max of 5.3k rpm, but 96 mph. The spark advance maxed out at like 65 degrees.... I don't have a reference file to compare against for an NA car, so I don't know if the readings are off or anything. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary as far as I could tell. Coolant temp stays fixed at 195 deg. F. Engine load reading shot up to a 100 a few times when you revved the engine. It would be interesting to compare against a reference NA car to see what the differences are

I am curious, I know the scanner "reads" the ECU, but how do you read the *.dat files? I am interested in buying something like that for some research. How much and where to get it if you don't mind me asking? Thanks in advance. I would be able to give you some NA 5spd readings.

Kev ran his car while hooked up to a generic scan tool.... it's kind of like a Consult tool used by the dealer, but more generic. It lets you read out ECU data while driving, codes, etc...

Kev,
I looked at the files some more afterwards, and during one of the runs, the ECU generated code P0140. This refers to the rear O2 sensor on bank 1. The code lasted for a little bit, but went away at the end and was not stored. Perhaps it was just a glitch?
