just had a wreck

so i was driving to work and some f***ing lady hit me the rear. she said she looked down for a second and by the time she looked up her bumper was in my bumper and it the same type of car that had hit me in my 98 i30 a freacking blazer. it looks like the damage is the bumper, trunck, left quarter panel and my doors are not working right either(drivers door and the passenger door on the driver side). i thinkit more damage than that cause it wos pulling which i guess is the alignment and it made a noise now, i got it driving after taking the the mudflap off so it wouldnt rub. man im so heated i just bought the car in january , man this just ruineed my whole day and my service engine light is on too. ill see if can post pics tonight if i can.(im so pissed off) and my back is hurting too aint that something

Thank God everyones ok. Sorry to hear about ur max, I know how you feel, Im on my 3rd rear bumper. A blazer hit me too, it was souped up with a body kit and some 20's. He ran into me on I 35 while in downtown traffic in Ft. Worth. Strangely, his front bumper was in pieces while my rear bumper just had a fold down the middle of it. Hang in there, tomorrows another day

i'm sorry for you..i can only imgaine the pain you're in, i get pissed if someone parks next to me in the parking lot (except for that nice Bentley Continental GT at the movies )...i can only imagine my reaction if someone were to hit my max...i think i'd be liable to rip their head off, espeacially if it was from being rear ended....that women is my idiot of the week, hitting a perfectly nice max in her POS american crapmobile...

as long as your car is insured, should be no problems, just drop it off at the shop and let them deal with it, in the mean time, get yourself a rental and go see a doc. and a lawyer. good luck and hope everything goes well.

OMG! I really am glad that you're alright! Hope everything was covered under full insurance, and go see a doctor. What may be okay now will be hurting tomorrow. I know this from experience too, wasn't good.

Hope you'll get to keep it, or maybe if not that insurance will give you enough $$$ to find another.

I feel your pain. Exactly. Guess how I got my Maxima? Someone not paying attention slammed into the 626 I had and totaled it. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if your doors aren't opening properly and you have a wrinkled quarter panel (and who knows what else once the body shop tears into it), odds are the car is a total. You may get lucky and it isn't as bad as you described but wrinkled rear fenders can be very pricey to fix properly.

Look at the bright side though, at least she didn't push you into oncoming traffic or under the back end of a semi.

I would expect over the next couple days your neck, back or both will be hurting. I ended up needing nearly 2 months of back/neck therapy after my accident.

Id let them total it out, if the doors jams are messed up the frame is obviously messed up. Your maxima will probably never drive or ride the way it used to.

At least your blinker still works.....

Sorry to hear about your accident, and to see the pic.....i have pretty much the same car as you, and just seeing it in that condition gives me that not nice feeling in the stomach. Good luck getting it fixed, or getting a new car.

that looks very light damage, def. not gonna get totalled unless the car has 300k miles and alot of hiden damages or both. Looks like just a rear Q-panel and rear cover with tail. Maybe fix the trunk area and fix the rear door. Good luck, should come out looking like new.

so took it to the nissan dealershim asnd he did say the frame was bent and he said its fixable the whole repaire is gonna be around 7300.00. they charge only 46 bucks for labor and 70.0 for the frame work. its gonna be like two weeks to have it done and ready to go i hope. naw the rental they gave is a toyota prius, they were gonna give me a focus but i said no, but they said if i call them later they can see if they have anything else in the full size sedan section so i could trade. so im glad its not totaled its just the frame part im worried about, i dont want anything else to happen down the road you know

Ive never hit or been hit, but I can only imagine how ill feel when the day comes. Sorry about your max also. I think that this should start a petition to end all driving privelages for women! (If youre a female please take this lightly.)

My car got hit b4 my spring break. it was parked on the side of road when someone hit it's rear bumper and ran away. it took almost a week to fix. the repairing was $1700, and I paid $500 for deductable. got a rental sentra, fun to drive but less pull.

I would consider total this car since the body was bend. any repairing on the major body won't turn out as good as it used to be.
