The issue has been fixed the harness on cylinder six was loose and thats what was causing the intermittent misfiring the engine designer for nissan was passing through and he fixed it on the spot after a whole year the dude diagnoses the problem and fixes it. he wasnt even there for my car the catalytic converter efficiency code is coming up now the misfire code blocked out all other codes everything is good now.

Hey man thanks for the update. When you mean that cylinder 6 harness was loose, do you mean for the fuel injector??

No problem the wiring in the connector for cylinder 6 was loose so they had cut the connector off for cylinder six and five and rewire them properly. So when it was misfiring it would contact and then lose contact that was causing the misfire. When the fixed six it moved to five and now everything is working fine. Defect in the engine harness. Issue was resolved last week wed. Now the other codes are coming up fine no misfire codes.

It's a good thing Nissan makes some of their harnesses in China! Nothing like a lil' bit of the ol' Wal-Mart quality under the hood of our fine machines, eh?

When I ripped out the old 3.0L from my car, I was surprised to see a big ol' "Made in China" tag on my battery main harness and one of my engine sub-harnesses. I was surprised since my car is a 1997, I thought the car was all USA or Japan back then. Oh well, congrats on getting your problem solved, what a hair puller!
