Rear bumper fix?

I don't know what happened, but the hole for the screw that holds the rear bumper next to the wheel is broken. I can push in to make it flush, but after a few miles or a bump during driving, it will pop out again. I'll get a picture later tonight, but if anyone knows what I'm talking about and/or had the same problem, how can I fix this without replacing the bumper?

did it get hit before? my rear bumper was the same when it was broken.
if you can't push it back, you need a new one I think.
or maybe you can make a hole like putting a rim on it and glue or something else..

There are plastic grommets under the bumper, one of yours is either broke or missing. Go to the dealer tell them the problem and they will know exactly which size you need, they don't cost much. When I first bought my car I had the same problem and the parts guy gave me 4 or 5. The hard part is getting them in the hole and lining up the bumper but yours should be easy since its along the edge. I would not recommend drilling a hole there.

The bolt is still there, in the hole on the quarter panel. However, as you can see the bumper won't stick to it. It used to be able to slide into the bolt and stick for a bit, but now it will slide right out.

Maxgig, those plastic grommets, are you referring to the ones on the front bumper? I thought the rear bumper didn't have anything like those?

Try a washer between the bumper and the head of the screw.

The rear has the grommets too, they run along the top of the rear side markers. The part in your picture has a bolt at the end closest to the wheel, you should just replace the bolt as it tends to rust real quick from the road grime and water constantly building up on it.
