Bose Display Turning Off?

I searched extensively for this and couldn't find anything. The Bose radio display on my '01 AE is acting strange. If you are just turning the radio on or in the middle of listening to music the display will just go dead. Music still plays, everything works the same, but the display blacks out. If you tap the plastic of the display firmly it will come back on for a random period of time.

The weird thing is that I had the IACV replaced by a Nissan dealership two weekends ago. When I got the car back the radio display worked perfectly. No issues, no blacking out or anything for two weeks. Now all of a sudden it is happening again. I just replaced the MAF and left the battery disconnected for a few hours. I go out and turn the car on and the radio is still acting up.

Do you know if a wire could be loose or a fuse is bad?

Thanks for any advice in advance.

I think the connection between panel and UV is bad....maybe taking it out and checking it are your solution..never had this problem so far.

Just take a look at it and you'll see the tabs and screws that need to be removed. Its not very hard to disassemble.

My display went blank about a month ago. The head unit worked fine, sounded the same, etc., but the display went totally blank. I hated the Bose head unit anyway so my solution was to replace it with an aftermarket unit. I did some research on it and it must be at least a somewhat common occurrence as there are places that repair blank Bose head units. The charge was about $150.00. WAY too much so I spent $20 more and got a whole new stereo.
