That has nothing on my rim. lolz, sucks that you had to pay 500 for a refinished used rim :P
That was the wheel, tire and labor. Just the wheel was $224.
1100 for a wheel, thats insane! Better off just buying a set of nice aftermarkets or a set of OEM rims off craigslist.
Looks nasty and I feel for you. BTW, why do you have two threads going on this?
the rim was still useable :wall:
man thats bad
a lil duct tape and you're good to go. lol
is your strut okay btw? |

sublime258-the pics are on photohost.org, every once in a while, it just takes a dump and then 5 minutes later everything is working again. |

Just got back from Discount Tire. Glad I had the warranty certificates on the Michelins. Not only did they give me a new Michelin (Pilot HX MXM4) for the cost of a new certificate ($18) but refunded the $184 the Bridgestone Potenza R040 the Nissan dealer put on my car. :)
Why not just get the refund and keep the Bridgestone? 140 treadwear rating, that's why. The Michelins were a month old and have a 320 treadwear rating so the Potenza wouldn't even last half as long before I had to replace it. BTW, the Michelins have MUCH better off the line traction than the Yokohama 520s I had when I got the car. |
Ouch, how did that happen, that look's pretty bad, look like someone either blast it with a bomb on it. Never seen a thing like it before, but pretty bad huh?
Could have been much worse if hitting the driveshaft vaulted it into the floor pan or caused me to lose control. What really amazed me is how well the car handled even with a tire completely blown out. Other than sluggish steering and the rumbling, I would have been hard pressed to tell something was wrong. Pretty impressive, actually.

I think most oem rims at Nissan are priced around 225. New.
