So What's Your Favorite Pull?

Thought this might be interesting. Was wondering what everyone's favorite pull range was? This is more for the MT guys, but AT guys are welcome as well. Hopefully this isn't on the border-line of "race" discussion? Let's assume on-ramp to free-way pulls only here...

As for me, it's the 40-70mph. It's brief, but that's quite alright. It's the range that most accurately and properly is directly proportional to the number of 's I get.

It's such a common thing here, I'm at peace with it. Let the flammers get their gratification they wouldn't other wise get in the real world. If it makes them feel important, I'll go with it...

It's just a question, nothing more. I welcome SoonerFan's cult...

For me it's anything in 2,3,4, from around 3.5K RPMs the redline. I don;t do it often, but I love the feel of it.

i would've put something in first gear, but my sh*tty @$$ tires don't allow me to feel the full effect of the VQ35 that gear

the 3.5ers must be having a blast...I'm extremely happy with anytime on first gear, just doesnt last long....2nd gear redline feels great too. When I HAD boost, a down shift into 3rd gear around 4k rpm to redline was orgasmic

Does anyone else feel guilty after a pull or is it just me? Don't get me wrong, I love it...I just feel like I'm abusive. However, I am reassured due to VQ-dependability.

Definitely 60-90 in 4th, while blowing by other cars on the freeway. It pulls good while not feeling abusive to the car.

Take care of the car, and it will take care of you... for the most part. My car sees over 4-5k on a daily basis.

My favorite pull would be either 2nd or 3rd, 3k-6.4k

hell no.. just keep synthetic oil in there, don't redline it, and you'll be good to go.. whats the fun of having a VQ if you don't enjoy using it's power? i love it

What's fun about having a VQ if you can't 'redline' it?

Mine see's redline

and i like first.. but my tires suck and if they dont break lose at the start then they start to brake from 4500+,,.. so second gear to redline gets my vote

^ Looking forward to that post.

I am also looking forward to the difference a lighter-wheel/tire combo, Illumina/H-tech and lightweight UDP will make in throttle response/pull.

gonna pm grey99 about the IM and cams

this project is coming along a thread will be started and I decided to not be a meanie and tell everyone my secrets about this engine all they need to do is ask the right questions.

6th gear pull ftw! No actually its more of a 6th gear push LOL

3rd gear pull merging on the highway is probably my favorite thing about having a 6mt with headers

I wish I could do the same in 2nd but I fear the 3rd gear crunch
