Rear Brake Pad Question

Hey all, I purchased some new brake pads for my 02 Maxima and am a bit confused. Of the four pads, only one has a clip attached. Is this normal? I'd assume that the left and right pair would be identical.

Thanks!

looks like you got a FRONT brake pad in there bro......

all the rear pads on our cars look like the first three.......

If you get a set for the front, TWO of them will have the clips

EDIT:
ya know, now that i take a 2nd look at that last brake pad, it looks like the CLIP was attached by some one to be honest

the clip is a warning high pitch sound to tell you that your brakes are low

I bought some OEM pads for my 03 and they came the same way.. only with 1 indicator. i think this is normal considering they are rear pads.

Thanks for the help.

It wasn't attached by anyone but the manufacturer (you can see that the bottom two have the num, it's just that the bottom one was compressed to hold the clip).

I guess given that the warning indicator on rear brakes is less important, they decided to only have one and save the $0.10 it must cost them to throw on additional indicators?

(For the record, they are all marked with matching part numbers)

Those come like that.
install the pad with the squeeler on the right inner side. (piston side of caliper)
Always squeeler on the side of the pad that contacts the rotor first as it's turning.
