Valve cover

Just wondering how do you guys clean the valve cover?

Mine has some oil deposits in it already.

Do I take it out and scrub it? Can I have it polished?

TIA

you might as well replace it if you're taking it off man.. i don't know what your oil consumption situation is like, but the 04 valve cover is supposed to lessen oil burning some

EDIT: that is if you have a 3.5
