Is it really possible?

for installing an intake to rid my car of the SES light? i was getting codes for needing to replace my o2 sensor (after the cat) i believe its was the p131 and 132 codes if i remember correctly. i do remember one of the codes mentioned it having a bad air fuel mixture...i guess i have more air coming in now so the the mixture is better?

fyi just if anyone needed to know its a 00-01 and (puts on flame suit) fitted a 95-99 maxima SRI on it lol. it was my brothers old intake.

O2 sensor codes will return, they are famous for that.

You have not really fixed anything yet.

Try resetting the code and seeing if it comes back. I would not replace the O2 sensor unless it does. They should last a very long time (like 120 K , 10 years)

Changing plugs in my 626 got rid of the CEL for the EGR I'd had for several months. Resetting the computer got rid of the light but it was always back in less than 100 miles. Reset the computer when I changed plugs and the CEL never came back on and that was nearly a year before the car got totaled. Weird, eh?

emission systems are always touchy....I've had an SES light on for a while now, cause of the o2 sim. I forgot to connect the heater wire...so don't be like me and forget.

which reminds me....any body know the resistance for it? maybe I could wire a resistor in to kick out my SES light.

They don't last anywhere near that long!!! I have a 01 SE and all 4 have been replaced and my car only has 52,*** miles on it ! I paid for 3 and NISSAN 1 when they replaced my cat under the the 8yr/80,000 mile emissions warranty . BTW, my brother owns the repair shop I took it to so I know they did'nt screw me.
