My car TOTALLED - But what a story!
First off, I'm fine but the car is totalled....BUT check this out:
I'm at the lights waiting for my turn arrow, finally get the green and start to head into the intersection when this jackass runs the red and takes out my front end....I'm gonna fast forward to where I call my bro for help...
My bro gets to the scene but had to call up his bro-inlaw, Raj, to drive him down....he just happens to drive a red Kia...now once I negotiated with the tow truck driver to tow the car to the bodyshop instead of the pound, my bro had to get back home and Raj said he will pick me up from the shop in half hour...so they take off and I'm left waiting with the tow...10 mins later, the cop in the car behind me asks me if I know who owns that red Kia that was parked over on the side and he goes on asking me if I knew his number? Nope I dont...so they take off down the same way that my bro and Raj went and I jump in the truck and head off.....anyways I'm heading down the deerfoot and my phone rings...its that same cop and he asks me if he could have my bro's number..I gave it to him and now I'm ****ting and wondering if Raj has a warrant out for his arrest???? LOL! So I try to call and call but cant get through to my bro...around 10mins later my bro calls me and tells me why the cops were trying to get a hold of them...well as it turns out that when my bro showed up and we all were over by the cars taking pics of the road conditions and vehicles, the cops watched the guy who hit me jump into the Kia and then come out a few minutes later...they didnt do anything because they didnt notice when the jeep showed up or whatever...so, when they called the guy over they noticed that he had some stuff in under his jacket...so the one cop asked him if that was his jeep...he said it was a bud that came down to pick him up...so they went on and continued to tell him what he has to do regarding the case # etc and what he got charged with (running a red and driving with a 24hr suspension), when they notice the jeep taking off...they look at him and said isnt that your jeep driving off? When he looked over, the contents of his jacket fell out.....this ****ER stole a stereo face plate, a CD wallet, a garage door opener and all the insurance info out of the Kia!!!! WTF!!!! Thats why the cop was trying to get a hold of my bro...unbelievable!
The dumbass was charged with driving under a 24hr suspension, running a red, and THEFT...he went to jail that night!!! Hahahaha!
So maybe this was a good thing? Because I got my chq from insurance the other day....guess what I bought??

Anyways, this site is truly amazing...I cant even count how many times that I needed assistance and the members here helped me out in a big way! I hope that the Benz forums have members that are just as helpful as the members here

yah, he def was messed up, the whole time I was waiting for my bro, he was heckling me and the cop went over and told him to STFU or else..!
As for the new rims on the E55, thank god I sell wheels as a side biz...I'm kinda not sure which one of these to go with...they will be 20x8.5 and 20x10.....3pc forged center and forged barrel..finish will be brushed aluminum, chrome lip and the inner barrel will be painted gloss black..here are pics:

My E55 is here...and soon to come are my rims and tires (I went with the spit 5 spoke style) and I also changed the widths which are now 20x9 / 20x10.5 with 245/30/20 285/25/20 Vredestein tires
This car pulls like there is no tomorrow...insane 0-60mph! Love having that power but sometimes scary...I tried it without traction control and when I stepped on it, the rear end was instantly sliding side to side....wow...the sound of the V8 is truly mesmerizing...but maintenance is going to be a killer, thank god I got a great, reasonable mechanic...
