CD Changer
The Nissan 6 CD changer is a Clarion unit that is sold as OEM. The install kit has a bracket for trunk mounting and the wiring harness. Just finished my installation this week. Took just a few minutes over two hours start to finish (including time to run to hardware store for a 7/16" drill bit). Units works fine and still allows you to use the in dash unit to play a singlt CD. Check Courtsey Nissan for price. Sould be around $325 for unit and install kit.
yeah.. I was surprised to find out
there was no wiring for it! thats asinine. Our Pathfinder LE was also not prewired. I also think the factory locations are total afterthought. In the I30 and Qx4 they made space under the passenger seat. Not in the max tho. whatever. At least the installs were pretty easy as sixman said.
the changer is pretty decent quality and worth the $300, compared to aftermarket for $250. (I havent tried the aftermarket, so I guess thats not really fair to compare them). No skips, typical Clarion changer. Note, the OEM Clarion 737 uses a special bus, you'll have to use the nissan branded one.
