AE Lip replica

Came in today..Very good quality fiberglass pieces. Not wavy and the gelcoat is ready for paint. The edges where the end pieces meet the center piece are a little rough but some 320 grit and primer will take care of it.

Ill try to get them on tomorrow.

I say we go wait till 01max20thanni goes to sleep, then we go unbolt his mudguards and go make molds and sell the replicas to him just to make him take back his "genuine ae ftw!". Who's with me!

The Ionic AE lip looks really authentic! Here's a pic of the splash guards/mudflaps for the AE kit. the splash guards were not include but I was able to get a set later on. I got black because I wanted the contrast and I like this look. You can see how the splash guard wraps around the kit.

I think AE splashguards are at least $250/pair and that's -IF- they have them in stock.

Eek. Scratch that mess. The 02-03 guards will definitely not work as they conform to the bumper and are not meant for the lip.

Correct. The mudflaps is part of the AE kit. However, when I purchased the car it didn't have them at the time. Not sure why some people got them and others didn't.

I'll dig out the invoice for the cost and part number. I think I paid around a $100.

the replica looks fine as is, no need for the mudguards. I cant wait to get mine next week. By far the cleanest looking rear piece for the 5th gen. I took off my stillen sides and rear in anticipation for the replica

Anyone know if I'll have a problem with the rear piece touching my cattman muffler?

No its not any lower then your stock bumper, give or take the added 1/4" for the thickness of the lip

Nope doesn't come with anything, I double sided mine. I believe there are bolts underneath the car that do line up with the tabs for the kit. I didn't really look close enough at it.

Well the stillen front looks identical, you can just get the 5.5 sideskirts which are similar and then this rear lip and its almost identical kit
