Auto manually shifting delay

When you shift your auto manually, is it normal for it to not shift right away when you slide it into a new gear? If it isn't normal, can Nissan fix that? They are already fixing the slippage of the 1-2 shift with a new Solenoid Pack, but will that do anything for the manually shifting delay?

It's normal since you aren't actually physically putting the transmission in gear. It's more suggesting you would prefer a different gear.

shifting your auto manually doesn't change gears, it just lets the tranny change it at a higher rpm, if u floor it and switch it into second at like 3k RPM, it won't shift gears
