Who here has a manual drivers seat (not power)

My seat seems to clack and clink when I take corners...almost like all the crap inside of it is loose....if you grab the seat and shake it side to side it moves and sounds like loose change.

Dealer told me that because it is manually operated it needs to be loose because of all the different ways you can adjust the seat.

Actually crabbed enough and they replaced some sort of bracket on the bottom...held the seat nice and tight for about a month....now back to the clack factor.....

Any fix for this?

This probably isn't the issue but with my moms Honda Accord a penny fell in somewhere in the bracket and the seat moved to the front and back 1 inch and kept on moving when you would be driving, took me like a month to realize there was a penny stuck in the bracket when I removed it (which was a BIOTCH) it worked perfect...

It's not anything to do with the rails etc...It feels like it is actually the whole bottom half of the seats guts. Like all the interconnecting pireces that make up how the seat adjusts etc....

The seat doesnt move front or back, its when I take a corner I can feel it moving a bit to whichever way I'm turning...like the seat moves with my butt

Tnaks for the reply though

I have the same prob, but never talked to dealer about it, though. Would like to see a solution if someone has it.

Mine started that at 15k. Dealer had to order a whole seat frame to fix it.

And guess what returned last week. Left turn (shift right).....Right turn (shift left)

I'm taking bananas to the dealer next time. What else is a treat for monkeys?

yup this happened to me. i tried to tighten all the nuts and bolts with my torque wrench but everything was nice and tight. seat still sounds and feels like it shifts with my body. i dont mind it as long as i know it wont fly away when i make a sharp turn..
