Does anyone know,by chance, if a RWD trans - say a 6-speed from a 350Z or G35 - would bolt up to an FWD VQ - either a 3.5 or a 3.0 - from a Maxima? I'm (slowly) working on a Locost 7 project, and it strikes me that I might be able to get a Maxima engine quite a bit cheaper than a Z engine. Since I'm fabbing everything, the motor mounts don't really matter, but I do have to have a rear wheel drive transmission. Anyone happen to have said motor and trans laying around the shop and care to give it a test fit?
