egr removal problems

i am having issues removing the couple bolts that are holding the egr valve. They are very stubborn even after some wd40. can anyone give me some advice. Or some detailed instructions.. the ones from previous threads are not great..

thanks

5 and 5.5 gen Maxima's don't have a EGR valve.......

I'll correct myself, most max's don't, but I heard some 2000 models do. You might have to remove some hoses to get to them.

to be honest on any stubborn bolt if you can get down to the bolt with a small torch or even a lighter and get them hot then quickly turn them while they are hot they should break

A torch or lighter? A torch is like 6500 degrees and a lighter is what...200? Neither would be recommended.

Tear apart whatever is standing in your way, and get some good swivel sockets.

go for six point sockets, they're much less likely to strip the bolt head.
