HELP PLEASE!!

Long story short, someone hit my car, and it's in the body shop getting fixed and the person's who hit my car's insurance is paying for the damages. I went to pick it up today and the guy said my car is hard to start and that it takes like 10 key flicks to start it. He said that I have a bad starter. I got a new starter put in a few months ago, and I'm thinking they must've done something, because the wreck wasn't bad, and I DROVE my car to the body shop. And then I test drove my car and my brake pedal FALLS TO THE FLOOR! My brakes used to feel very responsive, and now it literally falls to the floor. The guy at the body shop says it's unrelated to the accident so it must be just because parts wear out over time.

I refused to pick up my car in such condition, and he said they'll "look at it tomorrow." Is this common from shops? What can I do so I don't have to spend my money to fix what they probably ****ed up. He said that geico won't cover the starter/brake problem cost since they can't relate it to the accident, and I'm like that's BS. Even after the accident my BRAKES AND CAR STARTED FINE! WTF IS GOING ON!!!

lol any advice helps, thanks ppl
