i have a 2000 maxima se 3.0 v6, both power lock switches dont work.When i go to lock my door with the key to activate the factory alarm system, it does not activate.if i have the dome lights set to go off when the door is closed they never go off.when i take the key out the ignition the light around the ignition stays on.when i got the car everything worked the way it was supposed to and all the fuses are good.i the beileve the alarm system might be causing all these problems but i am not sure.Does anybody have any ideas on whats really going on?

 

Sounds like your door switch is not working and it is sending a signal as if door is always in the open position. Do your doors actually lock if you use the remote?
