question... does greddy use the same resonator for their evo-2 and SP-2 systems? Or are they different resonators and mufflers?

ya guys, sorry, i can imagine how dissapoited you were when you clicked the link and saw no pics or vids. lol, i would of been upset. But don't worry i definitely will add something. and i had two questions, i heard the evo 2 goes bad after a while. like it starts to sound as if it has a hole in it? and i was also thinking about doing a warpspeed y-pipe, i know it will improve performance, but will it also make my car a lot louder? becasue i really dont want my car to get any louder than it will be with the evo2.

thanks

If i remember correctly, installing the catback is easy because there are no O2 sensors involved. I had a GReddy Evo on my car many years back.

Self explanatory. You are just replacing the cat back. Once you get under the car you'll see exactly what needs to be removed. Lay out your new exaust and when you get under the car you'll see.

There's four bolts total a ground strap. I found it easier to remove the cross member bar to remove the mid section.

Start with the rear section first. Then remove the mid section. Replace in the mid section and then the rear section. Don't tighten anything down completely until everything is lined up. Did your new exhuast come with new gaskets? If not go to your local parts store and get yourself some OEM crush gasket. Just give them your year, make.

Advice? Make sure the gaskets cover your exhaust ends properly before getting into the job. No one has to have a degree or training to work there. I'm just sayin!

sooooo, i went to install the exhaust all happy and what not. get the car on ramps, get my tools, roll under the car, and realize that its not gonna happen today. the bolts to the cat were soo rusted they turned to flakes. me and some other friends are taking another crack at it today except this time we have air tools!

and the trunk doesnt have a spoiler. i found one on ionic dynamics, and the spolier alone is 400!!!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nm7rqwEdFk

i was hoping it would sound a little more like this since it is the same exhaust and setup.

how loud is the exhaust in person? I love the tone of the greedy evo 2 but I dont want something that's obnoxiously loud. I just want something with that real good deep tone that doesnt set off car alarms.

me and some friends tried doing it our selves. but like i said it was sooo rusted the bolts crumbled. When i started it the first time, it sounded like it did in the video i posted, but now i noticed it got a little louder, but still has the deep growl. im very happy with it.

how much is the average cost to install a catback??

does anyone know if the evo 2 is a direct bolt on to the 5.5 gen? many sites show its for the 3.0 but some say it fits 00-03.

Evo 2 Sounds GREAT until you put headers on... Then your 3.5 Nissan V6 sounds like a 1.8 Honda with a Straight pipe
I have been rockin the honda sound for over a year now. Never got around to fixin it

Congrats on the install. What made you decide greddy? It's one of my choices but I need help finalizing. It's either the Greddy, Tsudo N1, or Megan Racing. Did the price make your decision for you? All help is appreciated.
