Y-Pipe and emmission test

Will I pass emmission test with a Y-Pipe in NYC? How does it effect the exhaust sound?

yes you will pass and yes noise will increase slightly

by the way , if you put this in the North East forum , people who are in NYC might be able to point you to a testing place that is more flexible or understanding if you know what i mean.
