Other than TS and JWT does anyone else offer tuning for the 3.5ltr ? I know UpRev's Cipher and Osiris software only works with 6th gen and newer. I'm really just looking for something that I can turn off DTC codes with.

 

I'd just be happy with one for automatics....

 

Turn off as in completely disable codes, or just clear them?

FWIW, Cipher works just fine with the 5.5 gen ECU, but it's only a diagnostic tool, nothing for performance.

 

Do u know anyone that used the UpRev's Osiris Tuner Pro to reflash there ECU on a Maxima?

 

I heard they were "working on it" a year or so ago at least but no updates since...

 

If you're just looking for dealing with DTCs and diagnostics, or advanced diagnostics, Cipher and Autoenginuity will be just fine.

If you're talking about "tuning" in that you want to alter AF, rev limit, etc, then TS is it. You could also consider an advanced piggyback like an Emanage Ultimate or UTEC.

 

hmm.. can anyone verify uprev? I contacted Rich@Uprev and he said it doesnt work... maybe he means for tuning. But yeah I am just looking to turn off sensors and DTC codes

 

6 speed Hayes is using the Cipher just fine on his 2002 for data logging, advancing base timing, etc. In fact, at Maxus a couple years ago, he advanced the timing for a bunch of people.

 

+1 for Cipher.

 

I talked to them on AIM recently and they're not doing manure re: A33B ECU tuning compatibility.

If all you want is to read/clear codes, AE is a batter bargain than the Cipher. The Cipher is expensive.

 

cant u go to nissan and get a reflash for ur ecu?? i heard someting bout it like get the specs for a 350z.. it might be a dum question

 

No. A33B & Z33 ECU quite different. If it were that easy, we'd all be at our dealerships now.
