Awesome race with a new Sentra SE-R Spec V and a Civi Si

Okay - i'm out with a few friends of mine(one with a 95 SC400 and the other with a 99 or 00 civic si). Anyway, me and the civic got ahead of the SC4 and lined up at the light and a brand new white Sentra SE-R Spec-V 6-speed pulled up next to me in my 2K2 automagic max(only 319 miles on it BTW). The light turns green and we all take off and me and the Sentra are dead even till the middle of my second and I started pulling wildly on him after that. We both were a car length ahead of the Si but he caught up and passed the Sentra at about 90. I didn't brake torque and they got a half second jump on me cuz I wasn't sure that they were actually going to race. Plus I spun all the way thru first and @ the shift into second. All cars were stock - the sentra could have been modded but it still had the dealer tag on it but it was definitely older than my 3-day old Max! So far I'm 2-0 in my new Max.

Peace and Be Safe,
Daniel

I'm with yo_its_ok

I raced my friend on the way home from the dealership...and I've been racing every day since then. can we say lease?? heh heh. I would have to say though my max runs quicker than most from the kills I've had. I've shocked a lot of people...even gotten props from a C5 vette on how close I was. It's just like a dog...train it from infancy to be a killer, and it will be one

I don't have a 5th gen, but I raced against Civic SI's a few times in the past and won of course. Strangely though, I can't get them to race me anymore now.

hmmmm....the guy in the SE-R probably let off if your buddy in the Si passed him....no way an Si would stand a chance against a new SE-R....

I kinda thought he let off too, but I didn't want to ruin my friends moment of beating the new SPEC V.

Now all we need is a Maxima SE-R Spec V.

I'm nearly certain Nissan is going to make as many as they have orders for. I've seen a few SE-R Spec V's. Every Nissan dealer I've been to has at least one on the lot. They have a few normal SE-R's too.

Nah, that'd be the SE-R, we need a few more ponies and some suspension upgrades to get to the Spec V. A standard FSTB and RSB would be nice in addition to having the car sit 1" lower and have about 320HP. Now that'd be the cool Maxima SE-R Spec V.
