Heads... How much torque?

How much torque do you use for the bolts on the heads?

The order should be from inside out in a circular pattern

the FSM says to criss-cross from the inside out if that makes sense.

7 1 3 5
6 4 2 8

WOW, you're definitly going to want to follow a few steps in the FSM, and they also require angular tightening.

You removed the heads without looking at any kind of service manual?

Negative. Irishj44 (I think) had a write up on a ground kit he did himself and it requires to use one of the bolts for the head. I want to remove it now and I don't remember what the torque spec was. When I was doing it, I was working at the Nissan dealership and I walked over to a tech and asked him while I borrowed his tool.

Good luck finding a grounding kit that uses a head bolt.

Can you take a pic of what bolt you're talking about? You're confusing everyone here by implying that it's a head bolt.

More than likely it's just a regular 10 or 12mm head bolt. Tight is fine.
