Finally Getting Some Goods Installed

On the 19th, I'm going down to get some goodies installed. Heading down to Tucson to a technician referred by Brian Catts to get my manifold spacers, illuminas, h-techs and timing advance installed. I can not wait. It's about a two hour drive, but well worth the reassurance and price of knowing I'm going to one of the best lead master tech's in the south west. Sounded like an awesome guy on the phone as well.

For those who have this stuff done, what am I to expect as far as throttle response or related outcomes?

thats a bunch of fun stuff all in one shot..throttle response is more often noted on the 3.0 then the 3.5,, but i dont have it on mine so i cant say just yet,.... if u dont mind me asking.. whats the ballpark he is charging you for those things.....oh and since your doing spacers.. you really really should put some new NGK plugs in while your already in there...

Timing advance is worth it. I felt it right away; the reponse is so better. I'm planning on switching from Megans to S-techs in a month or so.

Yeah, I'm definitely excited. He ballparked me for right around $350 which isn't anything I can complain about, very fair price. I was expect well north of that. And yeah, plugs are in the works as well. I'll let you all know next week how the car is feeling after everything is installed.

You ought to have him change out your plugs while the intake is off.

I like the megans. Just want to be a bit lower and S-techs will allow that without buying coilovers. If I get the S-techs ill most likely sell the megans

Very interested to see how the car sits on those rims after the springs go on. Let us know how the throttle response has improved, I plan on installing the same stuff this spring.

Oh you know you love a fwd with a solid rear axle.

MIK3 cut down the tab that attaches the front of the rear bumper in the fender if you haven't already.

Andrew was telling me that he has done an 01 maxima on 20's with a progress drop and the customer had no rubbing issues. I'm only going down an inch in the back and 1.6 up front, I doubt there will be rubbing issues unless I support some major LB in the back (highly unlikely).

I'll make sure to take pictures and everything. Oh, I forgot to mention that he's also aligning it for that price. I have found my new technician, hands down.

PulsarGTS, do you have pictures? I'm not exactly sure which tab you're referring too.
