'02 Taillight question

I have an '01 Maxima SE AE and I would like to replace the taillights with the clear '02 taillights. When I went to my dealer to get a price on them, he quoted me approx. $130 per side. He also said I can save about $30-$40 per side if I did not need the wiring. The question I have is that since the taillights are pretty much the same, do I need to purchase the wiring in addition to the housing/covers. Or can I use the original wiring and just by the covers.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah they fit seemlessly in there. All you really need is new sealant. Cause the lights are sealed to the body of the car, make sure he gives you new sealant to put around the new 02s

MY bad, also forgot to write that you dont need any of the wiring. The stock plug will snap right in there.

The '02 tail lights don't look that good to me. Maybe if I had them on my car, they might grow on me. But that orange turn lense throws everything off. If it was clear like the 00-01's then I might put them into consideration.

i love the 02 tails on my car.. then again i have sterling mist and i think that's the best color it looks good with.. i had the old GXE tails before so anything looks better those.

the orange part looks cool to me.. but hey just my opinion.

I replace my 01 with 02 taillights, there are no wiring adjustment. Luckily my brother works for Nissan and my birthday was about a week later and got them free of charge. I put them in myself, everything fits and works perfectly.
