Intermittent knocking / vibration

I'll keep this short:
- Happened so far 3 times, fairly severe each time.
- Happens when the car has been on the highway or driving for a while
- Progressively steering wheel gets a bit more play and starts "tugging" towards the right
- When in full force, there is a knocking noise from front passenger side wheel well, and has gotten to the point where the wheel would pull from my hands.
- Recently had new ball joints, and passenger side axle replaced.
- Taken to two mechanics, and could not reproduce problem easily nor find anything obvious wrong under car.

- HALP!

Make sure the Wheel is not shaking from side to side. If it is tighten the Wheel bearing bolt to the correct Specs.

Sounds like wheel bearings to me. Also get an alignment done.

Had an alignment done recently when my winter tires were installed. This issue has happened before the alignment and the winters as well, so it cancels out loose ends there and the tires/wheels.

Starting to sound like an axle issue. Getting worse and louder. Mainly happens during left turns, starting to act upon right turns as well.

If you had an alignment done recently, then as you say it may be an axle issue. Do they make a "click" sound on turns?
