Trailer Hitch

I am thinking of adding a trailer hitch to my SE and wondered if any of you have already done it. My trailer is very small, well under the max towing weight. My wife needs an electric scooter to get around car shows/meets/flea markets and malls and I bought a nice trailer that will haul her scooter.
I've followed custom vans for years because I have one. I like the idea of a hidden hitch. Only visible when needed. Anyone seen or done that?

Let me know what you find out. I was also thinking about getting one to tow my AutoX car.

I just did it last week..

I got it from Uhaul and installed by them... total price.. 236 dollars(including the wiring, hitch ball, mount, and the hitch itself). it's a class 1 hitch, and they did a good job... if you don't bend down to see the rear of the car.. you can hardly see it... I havn't tow anything yet... soon though...

Search the org. It will lead to hidden hitch, and a list of places that sell them. They are about $100 and bolt on:

I have the Hidden Hitch installed on my 2001 SE and it is hardly noticable with the cap on ( see attached picture ). For Maximas built after 5/01, be sure to get part number 60945. I made the mistake of getting the old hitch 60571 and it won't fit on Maximas built after 5/01. The 60945 hitch is new and also fits the 2002 Maximas. I installed the hitch myself and it is a little tricky on the passenger side but not too difficult overall.

Do you think this hitch would work on the AE? I'm not sure if the body kit would cause a problem or not...

I don't think it will fit on the AE... cuz mine.. it is pretty damn near the bumper... no more then 1/4 inch away from the bumper....

Here's why I have a hitch

The rack is a Rhode Gear. You have to use an 6" extension bar with the rack because the Hidden Hitch is a deeply set receiver hitch.
