This is just my opinion, but I don't like grills like that. It kind of reminds me of a GMC truck grille.

Well don't settle. If you half way like it now, you will end up half way liking your car with it on there.

The projectors are a good pick as long as YOU like how they look...the light output is not horrible as long as they are aimed properly, although the beam pattern is a bit scattered...unlike other people I speak from experience as I owned a similar set of projectors before retrofitting TSX lenses into mine.

Regarding the grille...IMO the black grille will not look very good with the chrome-housing projectors (there will be a lot of contrast). I would have gone for the black-housing projectors to accentuate the black-painted grille.

Maybe post some pics once you have everything installed and we can see how it looks

In my opinion, there are no good aftermarket grilles for 5/5.5 gen Maximas. Go OEM. You also mentioned you own a 2000 Maxima. Not sure if you're aware, but the 2000 ones have the grille molded onto the bumper. So you either have to cut it out and fabricate your own attachment, or purchase a 02-03 front fascia/bumper to install a new grille.

As for the projectors, I currently own a set. Like M1RAG3 said, they're not as bad as everyone says they are, provided they are aimed correctly. Better than stock 00-01 halogen anyways. But again, my advice is to save up and go OEM. Get a set of 5.5 gen HID D2R headlights. You can always do a projector retrofit later down the road. That's what I'm replacing my Ebay projectors with.

I have that same grill on my car and like it. Got tired off the OEM. But that place is charging way to much. I think I got mine for like $60 bucks.

you should talk to torgus and have him make you a grill. http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...an-emblem.html
Like shogun said there really isnt any good choices for grills.
should have went with umnitzas halos. but buying the whole headlight assembly is alot easier.

That is another option, and pretty unique, as only a few other members have it. I'm getting mine done by Torgus right now, and can't wait to get it back.

I like my grille even though most don't.

Better then the billet grilles with no Nissan symbol in the middle.

Me and you both haha:

But I got tired of the look, and like I said above, I'm replacing it with a modded stock one courtesy of Torgus.

its not a matter of aiming them...they used H3 fog light bulbs as the main headlight output....

its like i pointed to flash lights on the road and thats it, those two little spots.

Goodluck.

i dont like the grill...I almost purchased a set of those ebay projectors..But i changed my mind and got a set of 02-03 OEM's...Also like DaveVQ said, i was also turned off by the fact that the H3 bulb is the "main" headlight

the grille is molded into the 2000-01 bumper. You can cut it out and use a Street Scene Mesh grille for a replacement.

True that the grille is molded. however this particular grill bolts directly over and very flush with the existing grill still in place. SS grille would be a last resort if in fact i cant get my hands on another billet.

Has anyone attempted to retrofit a 5.5 grill into a 2K bumper?? (assuming the grill has been cut out) the size of the grills look nearly identical...$hit, the headlights from a 5.5 fit......

Hello all. I have a 2002 GLE and I have been looking for a billet grille to find and can only find on for the top. Why is it that I can't find on for the bottom on a GLE. Its only the GLE model that they do not supply for. I need some help. thanks

How'd you go about doing that? The reason I ask is because that came out REALLY nice. I've seen several write-ups on how to do this, all with varying materials and directions. Yours isn't too glossy or flat, it looks like it would match KH3 perfectly.

^ It's pretty glossy, but that's the look I was going for. I used Krylon Fusion for plastic (flat black) and Duplicolor clear coat. I had to wetsand in between some of the black coats to prevent too much 'orange peel' texture and keep it smooth.

Not sure why the GLE is excluded the front bumpers appear the same to me ... I guess it depends on if you have the anniversary edition GLE/SE
