Ok so i am looking at a pair of 5.5 gen housings to replace my 00 housings.
They use the d2r bulbs i believe or something but what would happen if i put a h4 kit in there since i already own that? Would it not focus the light correctly or would it work fine?

You want to put the h4 kit in the 2k2 housings? Won't work. It'll work in the 00 housings, but they give off a lot of glare, not recommended

 

Ya thats what i have right now i am looking to upgrade them to the 2k2 headlights. I guess i will just sell that kit and buy another.

 

Buy another kit? If you find a set of 2k2 headlights, try and find a set w/ bulbs/ballasts. Shouldn't have to buy another kit (if I'm understanding you correctly). You will also have to buy a 2k2 harness in order to wire it up to a 00-01.

 

Ya i knew about the harness and i guess i could try to find a set with bulbs and ballasts and such.
