If you have the 17" VR tire setup the top speed is 143mph...I had it tapped out on the way to Las Vegas one night...

I just read that too. How disappointing.

My friend just bought the Alty 5 speed. He keeps talking smack that he's gonna whoop my a$$. Muuawwahha...I can't wait till we race and hit that speed. 143 vs 127? No contest. For his sake I hope there's a way to fix that. 240 horses to only be able to hit 127?

Altima 3.5 SE automatic- all season Bridgestone Turanza's EL42 215/55HR17. Electronically governed to 124mph, according the Car and Driver.

Altima 3.5 SE 5speed- all season Bridgestone Turanza's EL42 215/55VR17. This one will only be tired limited or electronically governed at 149mph.

I35/Maxima GLE- all season Bridgestone Turanza's EL42 215/55HR17. Although the I35 has .5" bigger rim width. Both SHOULD be goverened at 127mph.

I35 sport/Maxima SE- Bridgestone Potenza RE90 225/50VR17. Automatic's are electronically governed at 127mph. The 6speed will only be tired limited to 149mph or electronically governed at 149mph.

<Hypnotize> Get the Manual transmission if you like top speed. They are more fun to drive /<Hypnotize>

i may sound really nieve by asking this but there isnt any way you can reprogram something or make some kind of adjustment to alter the top speeds?

an aftermarket ECU or piggy back chip will most likely allow you to bypass the speed governor and/or rev limiter.
