So new headlights.. Just not fitting

So I purchased these, and now have gone through 2 clips to hook the bottom of the headlight. So now I gotta order more again, and really starting to wonder why these do not fit properly on my 00. I'm wondering how to get these to fit, because they seem to fit perfectly when the clips are not present, but of course they wobble and are not a tight fit. So i'm wondering from anyone, if you can help me out. I spent 300 on these and about to call it quits and sell them.

So we have decided to go without the clips because they are not letting the lights go in properly or all the way. Without em, yeah they are on there as good, but we found a way to hook the bottoms. So we are just gonna go that route.

Had the same problem when I bought my new halo headlights. I had to cut the bottom clips off for them to fit properly. It's still a pretty tight fit. Someone told me that many exterior OEM parts are purposely designed to not have a perfect fit, to somehow prevent car companies from suing them for infringement
I bought these recently http://www.k2motor.com/lf-max02coem.html and they are very good.

Dude your link points to aftermarket fogs and the OP was discussing the installation of aftermarket headlights
Output of the headlights are great, a heck of a lot better then the stock ones. I do however still need to adjust the angel eyes because they aren't properly adjusted. Not to bad out of the box, but still can be a lot better. As for the High beams? Wow these things are amazing, and give me a lot more output and range from my OEM's.
As soon as I get some extra time I will post up some pics. We got them to fit without clips, but we did secure them from the bottom. So they are locked tight and are not going anywhere. So finally glad to have this project done and out of the way. I tell you what though, physically the car looks so much different even with just the headlight change. Looks like a completely different car. Overall glad with the purchase, and like the look.

My 2cents on these lights.
I put the same ones on my 00 max and they make the car look so much better. Unless of course you can afford the HID upgrade. I just left the clips in and placed the headlights on top. Tightened the bolts on the top down and was a tight fit.
As far as output, they are ok. To make it better I put in the Sylvania Silverstar Ultras on the the lows, highs and fogs. This gave a clean white look (no yellow) and about 20% more light. Got all for 50% off at Advance. The beams do need to be adjusted, not the Halos, Halos provide no real increase in light, just aesthetic. I actually had to use the Plastix by McGuire to day cuz the plastic was looking fogged and little cracks were all over. They look pretty good again.

Is the aftermarket lens inferior to the OEM lens? If so, can the OEM lens pulled off the factory housing and put in place of the aftermarket lens? Was thinking of these or similar lights for my '01, but can't see spending $300 on lights that will be crap in a year. I love the '02-'03 HID's, but ****, those things are expensive!
IMO the '02-'03 OEM HID's are the best in performance/aesthetics. Buy them used for around $200-$350 each (includes housing, bulbs, ballast) either here in the Classifieds forums or on Ebay. You may also find just the 02-03 housings for cheaper and can source the HID equipment separately.
