Hey all,

Im having a bit of a dilemma, I cant seem to locate the paint code on my car, or even have the slightest idea on what im looking for. Some assistance would be very helpful, because i heard that the paint code was on the shiny plate where it has the chassis info and other information is UNDER THE HOOD, right on the firewall...or (right above it actually), But i just dont know where its at


Can some one explain to me what i should be looking for, or if any one has the paint codes already...My car is maroon/burgundy or MERLOT

PS. I think because i have a burgundy colored car or MERLOT COLORED....my code may be AX5. But i just want verification before I have Squirel go ahead and paint a aftermarket mirror and new gas door

AX5 is the paint code for Merlot, found mine under the hood too towards the back where the engine model is.

the paint code is either under the hood driver side on a steel plate or its with the other info on the drivers door on the white sticker i believe its under the hood tho i got a new bumper thats where they looked its rite on the firewall

You're pointing right at it in the pic. Look for the line labeled "Color." It gives your paint and trim color codes.

It says it in the middle of that plate thats in the pic, "AX5", thats the code for base coat. the other one in a trim color.
