I am replacing my stock suspension @125K miles on my 02' 6-speed SE. I have KYB Gr2, sticking with stock springs. Want to replace the strut mounts as well as the shock mounts. I have been reading here conflicting information about which mounts to get. Some say KYB's are great, others say they die prematurely. Some say get nissan mounts. I am not sure, just would like to get everyones opinion.

P.S. Also changing engine mounts, best to stick with stock?

How many engine mounts does the max carry (manual tranny, 3.5L)

 

In looking at this frt suspension schematic, can anyone tell me which parts by number to order for this project, remember car has 125K on original parts.

Should be 4 total including transmount.

 

if changing the engine mounts you only need to replace the 2 torque mount positions. ES part number 7.1114

And for the suspension you need all the little bits and piece down the right hand side of the diagrams. They may be sold as a kit but Dave B. would know better

 

I recently installed the Moog strut mounts. Look to be identical to the stock ones they replaced. No problem installing them whatsoever.
